We start from your existing ways of delivering data, and add new data delivery technologies to your product lineup that allow on-demand, self-service access. We help you in every step of the way to ensure the success of these new products. Here's how it works:
We first analyze the existing or legacy technologies which you use to deliver data to your customers (for example, your existing FTP data-feeds). We then use our technology to integrate this data with the WebServius platform; No changes are typically required on your side. This step is normally quick for typical data feeds, but if you have data in a unique, unusual or proprietary format we may have to do some custom development to bring your data on board. We also offer special integration options for frequently-changing / real-time data that is not easily represented as a static data feed (such as real-time stock quotes or airline flight pricing data).
Once we have integrated with your data, we load it and store it in our secure and reliable cloud-based data hosting platform. We also create an automated periodic update process that receives data updates from you and updates the data in our system, as often as it makes sense for your business (typically from once a month to several times a day). Data hosting is optional: For especially sensitive data that you prefer not to be hosted by WebServius, or for frequently-changing / real-time data, other options exist.
Once the data is hosted in the cloud, we then create different data delivery methods to ensure you can reach the maximum number of data buyers:
For business end-users, we create a self-service direct download page (also known as a "count tool" in the direct marketing industry). On this page, data buyers may select data by various criteria, get a count of how many records match their needs, pay for these records, and download the results as an Excel-compatible file.
For software developers needing real-time integration with your data, we create a best-practices API (using industry-standard protocols such as REST, XML and JSON), including full documentation.
Finally, once there is an API and/or direct download page in place, we do everything that's necessary to manage your data buyers. We handle all aspects of user signup, free trials, promotions, and more, and bill your buyers online using credit cards or PayPal. The billing amount is computed based on actual data usage according to pricing rules that you can define with great flexibility. We provide you with usage reports so that you can identify your most important buyers, and tools to enable you to deactivate accounts or give certain buyers special privileges. The entire buyer experience can be white-labeled to match your branding.
