Getting Paid with WebServius

Q: When is money added to my account balance?

Money is added to your account from multiple sources: recurring subscription revenue, overages, and data downloads. For example, suppose you offer an API at $30 per month for the first 10,000 units, and $0.005 per unit after that. If a subscriber uses 11,000 units, you will get $30 in recurring subscription revenue and $5 in overage revenue.

Overage revenue is added to your account balance immediately after each API call is made by the subscriber. Recurring monthly revenue is added to your balance at the beginning of each subscription cycle. For example, if one of your subscribers signs up for a $30-a-month service on Jan. 12, you will see $30 added to your balance on Feb. 12, Mar. 12, etc.

Any accrued money becomes available for withdrawal at the end of the current pay period. For example, if a subscriber subscribes to a $30-a-month service on Jan. 12, and your pay period ends on Jan. 27 (half a month later), the $30 (less fees) will be available to you on Feb. 27. It does not matter how many calls or units the subscriber has made.

Subscribers that subscribe on the 29th, 30th or 31st of any month will have their next payments on the 1st of each month. For example, if a subscriber subscribes on Jan. 31, payments will be on Jan. 31, Mar. 1, Apr. 1, etc.

If you deactivate someone’s subscription in the middle of their monthly subscription cycle, the affected subscriber will get a pro-rated refund (again, based on time and not units or calls), and your balance will be reduced accordingly. If the subscriber cancels their own subscription in the middle of their monthly subscription cycle, you will normally still keep the revenue for the rest of the month, unless the subscription was cancelled due to a defect in your service and the subscriber lodged a complaint.

Q: What is the “Pay Period” and when do I get a check?

Once a month, we will tabulate the total revenue available for withdrawal (recurring and overage) that you have accumulated, and add it to your transaction history. We will then deduct the WebServius fee. The date when in happens is shown on your payments history page as the End of Current Pay Period date.

If the resulting balance is higher than our current minimum payment (currently $25), we will mail you a check within one week of the Pay Period end date.

We must have your mailing address, full legal name for the check, and certain tax information on file before we can process any payments. If you do not have this information on file, we will contact you by email and send you the check within one week after receiving all the necessary answers from you.
